Owning the Centre Ground- How can the Lib Dems become the rallying point for moderate Britain?

Please come to Pizza & Politics on Wednesday 24th July, when we'll once again be eating pizza and putting the world to rights in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

The subject for discussion this time is 'Owning the Centre Ground- How do the Lib Dems become the rallying point for moderate Britain?'

With the Conservatives heading right and Labour heading to the left, there is a void in the centre and if the Liberal Democrats are going to have real sway in parliament and change the current course of British politics, then we need to own that middle ground. Chuka Umunna recently joined the Liberal Democrats and other MPs are in talks about making the switch. Does this show that the tide is turning in our favour? What more do we need to do to attract moderate, liberal voters and politicians?

If you’ve been to Pizza and Politics before, come again, if you haven’t been before, I hope you'll come. The discussion is usually lively and we're often there until the pub closes. Don't worry if you're new, there’s always a great atmosphere and you only need to contribute to the discussion if you want to - the pizza's pretty good too!

So come to the Hyde Tavern, Hyde Street, Winchester, SO23 7DY at 7.30pm on Wednesday 24th July and please click on the button below to let us know you'll be there.
