The Conservative-controlled Hampshire Council first delayed the consultation on the ALRESFORD TIP and then reinstated it on March 16. There is still time to comment.
You can complete the consultation questionnaire online or telephone 0300 555 1389 for a paper copy. The consultation finishes at midday on May 25th.
If the average trip to the tip is for 65kg of waste (30 house bricks), residents will have to drive an extra 400,000 miles a year to Winchester, generating an extra 110 tonnes of CO2 – MADNESS. Hampshire needs to IMPROVE the TIP to allow more recycling, not consider closing it. Why not make the tip bigger, and charge for trade waste to cover costs?
