The election for your three new city councillors is just days away. The Lib Dems have three excellent candidates in Russell Gordon-Smith, Keith Divall and Margot Power.
Russell Gordon-Smith has lived in Alresford for 22 years and has a background of 40 years in major development projects in the UK and worldwide. Passionate about how the built environment affects peoples’ lives. Russell is furious about the traffic management measures, and the reluctance of local councils to take action.
Keith Divall has lived in Alresford for 27 years and his children attended Sun Hill, Perins, Peter Symonds and Alton College. Keith has worked for 40 years in industry, latterly as Finance Director for a major cookware company. Keith is very concerned with jobs and housing in the Market towns and is livid with the short term thinking of national and local government.
Margot Power has lived in Alresford for 23 years, and her children were educated at Sun Hill, Westgate, Peter Symonds and Alton College. She has a background in IT and finance and has been a Winchester City Councillor for 6 years. Excited about the new housing in Mitford Road, Margot is passionate about local shops and parking and mad as a fish about the proposals to reduce the turnover of free vehicle parking in Broad Street.
