Your Candidate - Badger Farm and Olivers Battery - Brian Laming

Brian Laming for Badger Farm and Olivers BatteryBrian is a hard-working local campaigner who gets things done - campaigning for safer streets and a better environment - getting potholes fixed, paths cleared and other local problems dealt with.

Brian and the local team are standing up for our area against Eastleigh Borough Council’s 5,000 house development. He is fighting to keep extra traffic away from our area and to protect the River Itchen from irreparable damage.

Brian helps local people with planning issues, speaking up for local residents to stop inappropriate developments that would harm the character of our neighbourhood.

Brian works hard alongside Parish Councils and other groups to improve our environment. Whiteshute Ridge, like Shawford Down, now has a wildlife management plan to increase biodiversity.

We all hate to see empty, derelict houses. The result of Brian’s campaign is that the City Council has applied for an Order to bring a house back into occupation. The first time ever! Soon another family can be housed.

Brian and the busBrian and the team have been campaigning for better and cheaper bus services in our area, keeping our villages connected and allowing people to leave their cars at home to help the environment.

The local Lib Dems campaigned for years to get a quieter surface on the M3. Now Brian is asking for quieter surfaces and better traffic management through our villages.

Listening and caring - Brian is working for what you want; better and affordable bus services; reduced traffic congestion and pollution; safer streets; better recycling.

Keeping Winchester Special – Brian will work with colleagues to maintain our historic conservation areas; make sure there is a proper plan for new housing; continue to demand that the new Leisure Centre can be used by all; and get fairer funding for our villages.
