Your Candidate - St Barnabas - Anne Weir

Anne is a resourceful and effective ward Councillor who gets things done – campaigning for safer streets and a greener local environment, challenging developers to bring forward plans in character with the local area, and keeping up the pressure to resolve problem parking.

After Westman Road play area closed, Anne lobbied the council to fund improvements to all the main play areas in Weeke and Teg Down, encouraging residents to use them and keeping them safe for the future.

Anne has worked continuously for repairs and improvements to our verges, pathways and drains, getting leaves cleared, drains unblocked and verges restored.

Anne and the Lib Dems secured funding for a late night #3 bus service despite Conservative opposition. The service’s success led to Stagecoach putting on more evening services to Weeke and Harestock.

As chair of the Town Forum Anne has encouraged local groups, like Weeke Community Association, to take the initiative and improve their own areas.

●Backing residents on planning matters
