Lynda is a proven campaigner. She recently took her kerbside glass collection petition #MessageInABottle, which over 1,200 of you signed, to council. She will keep putting pressure on them to make sure they do not bottle it!
Lynda really cares about our city and is campaigning hard to keeping Winchester special. She has been highlighting the terrible state of the Buttercross, and is determined to stop the rot in our beautiful city.
One of the new wave of Liberal Democrat activists, Lynda is energetic and motivated. She is keen to restart regular surgeries to make sure that your concerns are listened to.
Popular county councillor Dominic Hiscock, who you elected last year, says “I am genuinely enjoying working with Lynda. She is a superb candidate who really gets things done. Together we will make sure residents’ concerns are heard on such issues as the proposed new leisure centre and the Bar End BMX track.”
My promise to you
I promise to put local people first. I will work for you all year round to keep Winchester special. Disgracefully, Winchester’s conservation area is ‘at risk’ with even the Buttercross looking shabby and neglected. I want urgent action to set this right. I will continue to campaign for the City Council to do more to create a healthier environment - with cleaner air, better recycling, reduction of plastic use and water fountains in the city centre. I will work for a better run, more open, more transparent council that listens to local people.
