Stop Disabled Bus Pass Cuts

Hampshire’s Conservatives are making disabled people pay the price for their financial failures.

From April 2025, thousands will lose all-day free bus travel, forcing some of our city’s most vulnerable residents to pay full price at peak times.

In the context of the £183 million budget blackhole, a saving of just £75,000 across the whole of Hampshire is just a drop in the ocean.

Lib Dem campaigner, Paula Ferguson said: “This heartless cut won’t do anything to solve the Conservative’s financial mess, it just punishes disabled people.

“We already have problems with bus services being cut and other being unreliable, even after ticket prices were increased by 50% earlier this year.

“Sadly, if you rely on public transport to get around, the Conservative run County Council is not on your side.”

Stop Cuts to Disability Bus Passes

We call on Hampshire County Council to reverse the decision to stop all-day bus passes for disabled people
