Safe Speeds for Winchester

Nothing over 30 mph and 20 mph for our residential roads

Hampshire County Council's current approach to speed limits in Winchester isn't working.

We  have 40 mph limits on city roads like Chilbolton Avenue, Andover Road, Harestock Road and Stockbridge Road - where extra housing means these limits don't make sense any more.

There's a confusing mixture of 20 mph and 30 mph zones on our quieter residential roads - where 20 mph are proven to be safer.

Please back our campaign for safe speeds on Winchester's roads

We call on Hampshire County Council to put safety first and set a maximum limit of 30 mph for Winchester's roads and introduce a 20 mph limit across all residential streets.
